Welcome to my little corner of the web. I am an artist, manager, and sometimes programmer in the computer game industry. I landed my first job right after high school, back in 1989, creating graphics for Nintendo, SNES, Genesis, Gameboy, and various computer platforms. For nearly ten years, I was a senior and lead artist at Sony Online Entertainment.
I am currently in the midst of a new adventure, having left the comfortable climate in San Diego to attempt my own startup. These two videos are the world debut of the project I've been working on for the past couple of years. It is a 3d virtual reality engine and while it is not yet complete, I figured it was about time to remind the world that I'm still alive!
This first video provides a quick introduction to the rendering engine. I won't go into a lot of detail here, but if you'd like to know more about this project, feel free to check out my blog at thinkmartian.blogspot.com. The video is best viewed at 720p. Once you've started it, you can switch to 720p using the button in the lower right corner (under the "You" in "YouTube").
The second video is more of a hands-on walkthrough that I recorded live and then added narration.
My site, like my 3d engine, is and will always be a work in progress, so please come back and check it out from time to time. I will be adding new artworks, occasional scripts or other downloads, and possibly tutorials in the future. If you'd like to contact me, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
